Jon Schmidt

It's no secret that I love piano music. There's no music that sounds better to me than the pure sound of a grand piano! Add to it a great arrangement of a pretty song and I'm in heaven. I've embedded the video here, if you want to see it on You Tube, here's the link (you'll have to cut and paste).

Arrangement of Taylor Swift's Love Story meets Cold Play's Viva la Vida (I can honestly hear U2's With or Without You in parts, he doesn't mention it but it's there!)

The cellist is Steven Sharp Nelson and he's amazing. The Jon Schmidt concert I RAVED about in a blog back in December included him, it was unreal...he hits the cello like it's a drum, slaps the strings for a unique sound, and plays a sweet cello. If you look closely you can see where he's worn it around the edge from hitting it. This is not your father's piano and cello music!
