Today is my brother-in-law's birthday. He is a fun-loving guy I've been friends with since childhood. He is almost always smiling! He loves nature, hiking, biking, taking road trips, and being with his family and friends. He loves to garden and grows most of the food his family eats. Seriously, folks, he has an orchard you wouldn't believe, and a garden to match. He has lots of talents, all of which he's willing to share. He's a health nut...if a report comes out that says something is healthy, he'll down it, even if he hates doing it. He's a great teacher, whether in the classroom or anywhere else. He's also a great story-teller, and lives in such a way that he has some really fun stories, believe me. If you want to laugh until you cry, have Roland tell you about "bear poop" or pulling his friend, Troy, down a hill. He married the perfect girl for him, Jen, and they have two great kids, Olivia and Spencer. He's one of the rare, truly happy people I know. Happy birthday, Roland!
