In memory...

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the passing of Ken's dad, Heinz Hosch. He was born in Michelstadt, Germany, a beautiful town in the Odenwald area of Germany. He came to the U.S. in 1957 (forgive me if any details aren't correct) and met and married Ken's mom, Susan, while at BYU. He was a college professor at York College of Pennsylvania. He had a lot of personal interests, like an avid love of nature, gardening, writing to pen pals, traveling, stamp-collecting, photography, running, and more. He was a good story-teller, too. While at BYU, he actually played a part in developing a BYU soccer team, and took a class in which he had to design a home. He later built that very home in York and he and Susan raised their children there. It was the kind of home where kids felt welcome and gathered there for big-foot pancakes (with chocolate chips), went swimming, and had some great sleep-overs (myself included). He is missed...
